We are looking for an employee to assist on our dairy farm near Cambridge for 3 months while one of the farm owners has surgery.  This is a fixed term contract on an hourly rate. This role would suit a NZ Resident or someone with a student visa or working holiday visa.  The farm is 108 hectares, milking approximately 315 cows at peak.  We milk twice a day through a 23 aside herringbone cowshed with cup removers, Protrack and Allflex Collars.  We require someone who is reliable and honest  and who is able to assist the farm owner/senior employee from late August to end of November (3 months). The role will include milking cows, feeding calves, setting up breaks for cows, cleaning equipment/facilities and other general farm work. We offer a friendly team environment and with good facilities.

Drive in relief milker needed for 650 cows 54 bail rotary, Protrack, Halter and feed pad Close to Geraldine and Winchester. Nice modern shed and facilities, the job can be as easy as cupping up and washing down or can also include being part of feed pad management; feeding out with mixer and keeping pad clean. This is for a 1200 cow farm in the Bainham area, 18 minutes from Collingwood, milking through an 80 Bail Rotary shed. We are long-term sharemilkers running an 1100-cow farm on the Waitaki Plains, only 10 mins North of Oamaru- nice and close to town. We pride ourselves on our high standards of work and aim to farm towards industry best practice at all times. Our current team consists of long-term employees who have valuable knowledge and experience of the farm. Minimum of 1-year dairy experience is preferred. On and off-farm training will be provided, this position would suit someone who wants to make dairy farming a career.
