We are looking for a senior worker/ 2ic all rounder to help run 505 cow herd.Able to operate feedpad silage bunker tractors wagons bale feeders pad scraper Jcb Telehandler krone mower greasing gear able to run the new cowshed with other staff.able to get in cows for milking draft for ai using automatic drafter. Effluent irrigation as part of the position.  We run a 11.5 day on 2.5 day off roster. Knock off Friday lunchtime for the weekend off.  We run a tidy farm and herd through new 44 cup herringbone (22 double up )with new plant,cup removers,auto drafter.

This role requires the successful applicant to maintain shed hygiene, monitor animal health, reliable and be able to adhere to milk quality standards. 

We are looking for three (3) Dairy Farm Assistants to work on a 700-cow farm in the Otautau area, milking through a 46-aside Herringbone shed. While previous experience is preferred, it is not required for this role. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking twice a day shifting cows and feeding  fencing, weed control calving, calf rearing shed cleaning and setup identifying and alerting managers to sick cows setting fences operating farm machinery and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 55. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, any hours worked beyond the agreed maximum in a fortnightly pay period will be paid at the agreed overtime rate. Due to genuine reasons, our client is looking for a manager or experienced 2IC to help run their 300 cow dairy farm near Tuatapere. Ideally we want someone who has a great attitude and the confidence and experience to make on farm decisions on a daily basis. You will have support from the owners and their team, and the farm has recently installed Halter. Excellent animal health and feeding skills are essential, as well as the ability to operate tractors and machinery. We value health and safety and great communication.
