We are looking for an enthusiastic, easy going and reliable person to join our farming team at Toko. We milk 330 cows through a 38 bail herringbone cowshed with ACR’s. Initially this postition is for over the busy spring period but this role could lead to permanent relief milking for rest of the season. The position is mostly afternoon milking’s and some day work. We are open to how this position may fit into the team. Hours and days of work are flexible and can be adjusted to suit the right person. The position will be paid at an hourly rate based on experience and this will be negotiated with the successful applicant. A house may be available if required.

Milking: Assists in efficient and hygienic milking routine. Follows procedure to produce high quality milk. Carries out simple milk harvesting tasks as directed, and is developing correct skills to milk. Animals: Assists in safe handling of animals, reports any health and welfare issues as per farm policy. Hello! I am looking for a relief milker for a 415 cow dairy farm on Oreipunga Road, Maungatautari.  We are milking 415 cows through a 36 aside herringbone shed. Calving Starts 7 July, and we milk twice a day all season. The role is that of a shed assist: you will be working alongside the contract milker to cover employee time off. We are looking for a reliable and motivated farm assistant to join our team.   The farm is well laid out and maintained with irrigation via pivot and k-line and a 54 bale rotary shed. The role will involve daily milking, cow shed cleaning and maintenance, calf rearing and shifting irrigation. Previous dairy farm experience not necessary but a positive attitude and willingness to learn is essential. The successful applicant will work closely with the Farm manager and Herd Assistants to ensure a high standard of health and safety, farm presentation, animal welfare and milk quality are achieved and maintained.
