Candy Dairy Ltd  We are looking for a motivated person to fill a drive in relief milking position on our farm 25 mins from Timaru 15 mins to Plesant point and 25 to Fairlie. This position will be around 20 to 25 hrs a week. We milk 800 cows through a 54 bail rotary shed using halter to bring cows in. This will be a sole charge role experience in milking is preferred but training will be given to the right person

This is a unique role which covers a range of skills required.  Predominantly the role will require you to do building and construction work as well as general  maintenance on farm sheds, houses and any other requirements building related.  Tractor and machinery operating skills for cropping and harvesting seasons.  General farm maintenance such as fencing, stock work and helping other farm staff over calving periods. This is an out of milking shed role.  You will be working directly under/with farm owner. We are looking for a Dairy Farm Assistant located in Canterbury area , milking 950 cows through 44ash shed. The role will be assisting the contract milker alongside with  other 2 farm staff with the days to days running of the operation in the farm, and can work unsupervised to get the job done with stock movement, knows how to drive motorbikes, 4wd with drivers liscense, help up with the calving/mating, setting up fences,/breaks and all other general farm work, cleaning the yards, training will be provided for those who had a can do attitude and willing to learn.  Applicants must be in New Zealand, and with valid working rights.
