Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for someone to join us on our Dairy Farm near Morrinsville. We are milking 300 crossbred cows on 107ha 15 minutes North of Morrinsville. We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. We do about 110,000kgMS per year and typically go OAD in January each year. We aim for best practice in every area especially cow health, incalf rates, SCC and youngstock rearing. We are looking for an experienced 2ic who can competently drive a tractor on hills, (dairy platform is mostly flat/rolling) feed out, efficiently milk and is able to carry out general farm maintenance. We are an organic, regenerative farm also with 200 head of beef. Organic experience is not necessary but would be an advantage .Animal health and pasture management are priorities .
