We are looking to hire some people for different dairy firms in various locations of New Zealand.  Duties include milking, cleaning shed and yard, animal health requirement including mastitis, move break fences for cows and shed and plant maintenance and general farm duties. 

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Farm Assistant to join our team milking 345 cows in a 29 aside Herringbone shed on a 105ha dairy platform.  Preferably 2 seasons experience required. We need someone who genuinely cares for animals and their welfare, who takes pride in their work and home environment. No dogs Must have an approved visa or be a NZ Citizen to apply.

 Suit family  Every second weekend off with every alternate Sat and Sunday off between milkings and necessary stock work .  Supporting farm Manager with all aspects of a system 1+ dairy spring calving herd (no feed pad) Adjoining runoff wintering on herd and replacement stock.  Milking through 60 bale rotary with cup removers, auto drafting, heat detection, cow monitoring etc. Be able to organize and manage staff and the farm in the managers absence (time off)

Due to unforeseen circumstances my full-time milker and farm worker has gone on acc. They are older in age and wanting to do less more part time relief going forward. I am looking for someone experienced full time who can run a one man shed 30bail internal rotary with automatic cup removers and teat spray. Confident at feeding out with feed wagon and bail feeder also palm kernel trailers in the paddock and pumping effluent.  Working along with myself the farm owner but capable at running the farm on their own if I am not here. We are seeking a reliable person to join our experienced team this season. We milk 670 cows through an automated 40 bale rotary, milking twice a day until January. Excellent rosters and a supportive, positive learning environment. Accomodation consists of a shared 4 bedroom home with another team member, or a self contained cabin.
