Our stunning family owned and operated 1100 cow dairy farm is located just outside of Omakau.  We are proud of what we have achieved over the last 3 years by focusing on growing our operation from 550Ha to the now 1040H that we have acquired, we have not compromised on our morals or ethics though and we now have a fully self-contained farm, where we winter our young stock on farm and not only raise our replacement calves but also around 600 beef calves. Based in Pokeno, we operate in the Franklin, South Auckland and Waikato Regions. We are looking for an experienced Tractor Driver who is familiar with late model tractors and a wide range of agricultural equipment. Combi Baler experience is preferred but not essential. You must be legally entitled to work in NZ, physically fit and reliable with an excellent sense of humour and a willingness to work overtime. We are seeking a team member for our farming operation that consists of a dairy farm and a support block on which winter crops, grain and silage/baleage is produced. The successful applicant's core role would mean that they require experience in operating tractors along with a range of implements and possess at least a basic knowledge of agriculture and livestock farming in New Zealand. Experience operating precision farming technology, front and rear mounted mowers, trucks, an excavator, and grain handling equipment would also be beneficial. We are looking for a casual farm worker or full time fixed term farm assistant to assist with daily farm activities on our autumn calving farm located at Opiki, Manawatu (10 minutes from Palmerston North).  We are happy to provide regular hours on a roster through to 31 May. Ideally you will be able to assist with milking ,feeding calves, be able to ride a two wheeler, drive a tractor (basic front end loader) towing trailer for calf collecting etc. This is a drive in position. We require an experienced  person to join our team located 10 minutes west of Hamilton City. The successful candidate will have the following experience: -  exceptional tractor driving skills, some fencing skills, experience with young stock, milking expereience and be mechanically minded.  Duties will include but are not limited to fencing (new and maintenance), tractor driving, and over the latter months of calving there is likely to be drenching, weighing and vaccinating of young stock that you will assist with.  You will be required to relief milk from time to time so if you are sick of cows and the cowshed, this is not the position for you.
