we are looking for am experienced farm worker (12+ mouths) for and assistant 2ic role milking 1050 cows through a 60 bail rotary shed, shed includes. auto draft allfex  collars  auto teat spray wand  cup removers waves on platform rubber mat on platform inshed feeding (all year round) malaises (just for cow flow) no heifers The farm is located just 15 minutes from Waiamate and Oamaru, you'll have a range of responsibilities in aiding the farm manager (team of 4) to run the farm including: milking shed management  animal health (treating milk fever/sick animals) maintenance of machinery staff management  driving tractors  

We are looking for an experienced assistant and/or relief milker to help us through the busy calving and mating period, and the rest of the season. OAD all season. FIXED TERM EMPLOYMENT Our staff member has broken his foot on the weekend so we are looking for a drive in person to help from mid June till September while he recovers.  Our main calving starts 10th of July but we will have heifers calving from 20th of June. We are looking for someone to join our team on a 430 cow farm in egmont village, with a 48 bale rotary shed with in-shed feeding and auto drafting. The roll can be suited to fit your skills within farming and any other commitments you may already have. The roll could be a tractor driver and milker with other general work around the farm or could be a calf rearer and milker This position has consistent work from June - January with just milkings and small amount from January till June, this would suit someone that wants to enjoy there summer out and about but still has consistent work. Due to the nature of this position it is paid hourly and then a per milking rate during summer. Unfortunately no accommodation is available on farm at this point as it’s a new position being created on farm.
