A new position has become available on a 90 ha seasonal supply dairy farm.  The successful applicant should be looking at bring a DNA tested crossbred herd of about 260 cows. There is an 18 ha run-off available for winter grazing, silage and hay. This property is an amalgamation of two farms with the boundaries having changed. Morlands farm is 15 min from Te Awamutu in the South Waikato running a system 1 with all replacements on farm. Our spring calving xbred herd is available (271 BW, 286 PW), is full A2 and contract supplies Fonterra. We have a well developed rolling farm with Miroa ash soils and has Halter etablished to enhance the efficiency of the business and support our team. We have 2 herringbone sheds (32a/s and 28a/s) calving through one then mainly milk in the other for the majority of the season as it has ACRs, a  feedpad and inshed feeding. We are seeking an experienced, passionate and driven couple to join us in partnership as 50:50 sharemilkers, on our 360 cow farm in Tariki. The farm is 170ha (140ha effective) milking 350-360 cross bred cows through a 36 A/S herringbone with ACR and in shed feeding. We run a system 5 (30% feed imported and supplement fed all year round) with PKE and maize bought in and a herd home used to house cows over the winter month.
