Job Description We are seeking an experienced farm worker with 1 Year of Farm Experience on to work as a Herd Manager on a 400-cow farm in the Ektahuna area. The farm is located approximately 10 minutes from Pahiatua and operates a 34 Aside Herringbone milking shed. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including. - calving, calf rearing, - shed maintenance & preparation, - tractor operation for feeding out, baling, mowing and silage - monitoring, recording and maintaining animal health - and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 35, with an maximum of 40. We are a busy 1100 cow dairy farm on the border of Whanganui city.  We are looking for a part-time tractor driver for our busy cropping season coming up.  Cropping and silage would be the main jobs you would be working on.  This season runs from now to Christmas.  We also will need help around February, March. This job would suit someone retired or semi-retired as the hours are sporadic.  We plant our own crops and make all our own silage.  The work is often weather dependent.   Experience not important as long as you are a competent driver.

We milk 270 cows 10 minutes from Fielding and Palmerston North. Due to our relief milker moving onto full time employment.  we require a new one This role will require someone to milk along side one other to assist in all aspects of the milking shed. There is the opportunity to help out with the calf rearing from time to time as well. You would be required to milk every second weekend and also some milkings during the week but these can be flexible.
