JAG Farming is a family run operation milking 450 Kiwi Cross cows. 30 mins drive south of Timaru, tucked in below the Hunter Hills. You must have a valid and current NZ Work Visa; we will not accept applications from those without. We would like to welcome a capable dairy assistant to our farming business.  You will have a sound and proven sense of stockmanship and an attention to detail in animal health and welfare, with a willingness to learn. Expect to spend the majority of your time milking.  We operate a TAD milking system and move to 3 in 2, or OAD in late summer/autumn depending on grass growing conditions. Between milkings there will be jobs such as fencing, calf feeding, weed control, moving effluent k-line & general maintenance as required. You will be able to ride a 4-wheel motorbike, and having tractor driving experience would be helpful but not essential. Roster is negotiable but generally it will be no longer than 6 days in a row.
