Due to an unforeseen change in family circumstances, our current manager is leaving after two successful years with us. We are seeking a capable and motivated farm manager to start in mid to late July and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our 600-cow dairy farm, in line with our policies and objectives. Our farm is a 600-cow, partially irrigated operation (pivot), a 50-bale rotary shed with ACRs, and Halter collars. We converted the farm 12 years ago, and it is located just 12 km from Fairlie in a stunning setting, only five minutes from Lake Opuha. We run a low-input, pasture-first system focused on efficiency and profitability. Looking ahead, we hope to employ a 50/50 sharemilker in the future, so this role offers genuine progression opportunities for like-minded, hard-working people.
