We are seeking an experienced, motivated, honest, and reliable Herd Manager to join our dairy farming operation. This position involves a high level of responsibility in the day-to-day management of a 47 0-cow herd across a 16 0-hectare property , milking through a 40 -aside herringbone shed . The successful candidate will work closely with the sharemilker and the other experienced team member, take a proactive role in decision-making, planning, and implementation of on-farm operations. We are seeking a motivated, honest, and reliable person to join our dairy farming operation. This role involves assisting with the day-to-day running of a 470-cow herd on a 160-effective hectare farm , milking through a 40-aside herringbone shed . Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Milking and maintaining high standards of shed hygiene Stock handling and animal welfare Feeding and pasture management support Set up temporary fences and weed control General farm and machinery maintenance Other general farm duties as required The farm is part of a larger farming business that includes an additional dairy unit located across the road. Employees are expected to work cooperatively across both farms as part of a wider team when required. Previous dairy farming experience is preferred but not essential.
