A position on our Runoff farm is coming available in August.   It is situated in the Five Forks area in North Otago This job will involve - wintering 300 cows plus bulls and some fattening stock -tractor work and cultivation  -irrigation - 2 pivots, fixed grid and about 20min of k-line twice a day in summer -spreading urea -general farm work  -Some of this work will be also on our other farms nearby. You need to have farm experience and be confident driving tractors on most terrain You must have good stock sense and respect for the animals Have good work ethic and dedication to the job Must be honest and able to work independently with good initiative  You must currently be in NZ and be able to work here Must not take drugs

We are looking for someone fit and enthusiastic to help out on or large calf debudding run around mid Canterbury. Based just out side ashburton but covering a large area.  the job is part of a team and the role will include all aspects of the debudding process with all training provided. We are looking for an extra set of hands as a calf rearer on our family farm near Hinds, 20minutes from Ashburton. 1500cows are calved over 2 farms. Rearing 400 heifers and selling all others at 4days old including bobbies. Heifers are fed on an adlib system making the job that bit easier! CALF REARER  – DRIVE IN POSITION   Grasslands are going into their third season in the Waikato and have dairy farms in Tokoroa approximately 20 minutes from the Tokoroa township. The farms average 1000 cows and we have two calf rearing positions on these farms for approximately 8 weeks for experienced calf rearers.  This would be from mid-July to approximately the end of September. The farms have excellent calf rearing facilities and are well equipped for the numbers of calves that are reared in them. We are looking for 2 experienced and motivated calf rearers with patience and an understanding and respect for animal welfare which is of paramount importance to the Grasslands organization. Due to our valued employee moving on, we are looking for someone to help our runoff manager. We are a family owned business with five dairy farms and a number of runoffs. We do a significant amount of the contracting work "in house," so are searching for someone with a wide range of skills. Your daily work would be quite varied and would include tractor/ground work, silage/baleage making, and stock work. Over winter we help to shift the dairy cows on crop and sometimes do some milkings on the dairy farms. We work as a team so require someone with great communication skills and the ability to get on with a wide range of people. You will report to our runoff manager, who will provide support and training as needed. A positive attitude and a high work ethic are needed. There will be times (e.g. baleage making), where the hours will be long, but you will be working with a great team. Start date has some flexibility.
