We milk 1000 cows on a 50 bale rotary ACR farm run by a contract milker. we are looking for an experienced dairy farm assistant who will be working on a team of 5 lead by the contract milker. we will be on 6-2 roster. We are looking for a NZ resident or citizen. 

We are looking for an experienced farm worker (2+ years) for a Herd Manager role on a 1500 cow farm in the Hororata area. The farm is located 45 minutes west of Christchurch, milking through a 60 Bail Rotary shed with ACR. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: - Milking and monitoring milk quality, - stock handling and feeding (feed mgt), - fencing, weed control, - calving, calf rearing, - shed maintenance & preparation, - tractor operation for feeding out, baling, mowing and silage - monitoring, recording and maintaining animal health - and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 35 and a maximum of 55.
