Dairy Farm Assistant required to join our friendly team of 5
We are looking for a reliable and motivated team member on our farm located 8 minutes from Rakaia, 15 minutes from Leeston, and 30 minutes from Rolleston. This is a full-time, permanent position, with a comfortable family home provided. School buses for local high school and primary schools at farm boundary.

Farming 1000 dairy cows located alongside the Rakaia River. Our fully self contained operation rears all stock from day one, with calves raised through to joining the milking herd. We pride ourselves on excellent stock care, strong team culture, and well-maintained infrastructure.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a team and is passionate about dairy farming. You will have good communication skills, are not afraid to seek & offer help, and have an affinity for working with livestock.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
You will be provided with guidance from the Farm Managers, but will also be encouraged to use your initiative and carry out tasks on your own so confidence in both situations is important.
Previous dairy farming experience is preferred. Also, physically fit and ready to work in all conditions.
The successful applicant must hold a current New Zealand drivers’ licence. A clean drug test will be required pre-employment and random drug testing is a business policy. Only applicants with the right to work in New Zealand will be considered for this position - please do not apply if you do not have a current work visa for NZ.
