Position will involve feeding out, milking, animal health, calving, mating, record keeping, irrigation, effluent, weed and pest control, farm machinery and general farm work. Location is 11 mins from Tapapa and 1 hour from Hamilton. We are looking for someone who would ideally have the desire to grow a career within our industry.  If you have limited experience we can train you, but must have a good attitude, strong ethics and morals and a willingness to learn.  We want someone who is honest and reliable.  We milk our 300 cows through a 30 ASHB. We are a family owned and operated dairy farm 5 minutes from Piopio township in the King Country, milking 600 kiwi cross cows through a 40 bail rotary. We milk twice-a-day during spring, transitioning to a 14 in 7 milking system in summer. The shed has automatic cup removers, automatic teat sprayer and drafting gates. We have collars on the cows that monitor their health and heats. We are looking for a permanent full-time Farm Assistant.
