Job Description

Want to get into farming? We might be the place for you!

Looking for someone who’s keen to learn, get stuck in and build their farming skills — you don’t need to know everything, but you should have a basic idea that cows aren’t lawn ornaments and gumboots are considered formal farmwear.

We’re a 120ha self-contained dairy farm, milking 250 cows once a day, with all young stock and bulls reared on farm.

What you’ll be doing:

• Milking in our 32-aside herringbone with cup removers & auto drafting

• Feeding out

• General farm maintenance

• Helping with calves, young stock & bulls

• Basically, getting involved in all the good stuff that keeps a farm ticking!

Who we’re looking for:

Someone who:

✔️ Has some farming experience or a genuine understanding of farm life

✔️ Is keen to learn and willing to have a go

✔️ Is reliable, practical and takes pride in their work

✔️ Doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty

✔️ Can work well as part of a small team

✔️ Wants to develop their skills and potentially build a career in farming

You don’t need to know everything — we’re happy to teach the right person. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic and a bit of common sense. 🐄
