You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: - Milking twice a day - shifting cows and feeding  - fencing, weed control - calving, calf rearing - shed cleaning and setup - identifying and alerting managers to sick cows - Setting fences - and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 30, with an average of 40 and a maximum of 45. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, any hours worked beyond the agreed maximum in a fortnightly pay period will be paid   at the agreed overtime rate.   The schedule may vary; Roster will be 6 days on, 2 days off throughout the year. 650 cows 30 mins south of Christchurch rotary shed  pivot irrigation We are looking for a friendly, energetic person to join our team of 4 on our farm at Dunsandel. This role would suit a range of people with little to moderate experience. Any dairy experience is welcome, but the right person with have a good attitude, a willingness to learn new skills and be part of a team on a high performing dairy farm. We have relatively new farm machinery and motorbikes, tidy housing and maintain a very tidy farm.
