We are looking for a motivated Farm Assistants who have a passion for the dairy industry and a willingness to learn and grow their knowledge within this sector.
This farm is milking 640 cows through a 40-a-side herringbone shed and has 2 center pivots and one Rotor Rainer.
The job will require you to work amongst a passionate team of 3 staff, undertaking general farm duties. These include milking, moving irrigators, tractor driving, looking after animal welfare, and many other day-to-day jobs to ensure the smooth running of the farm.
On-farm training will be provided to familiarise the successful applicant with our farm systems and procedures.
Applicants must have 6 months of relevant farming experience.
A driver's license is also required.
Location: Carew, Canterbury (approximately 20 minutes from Ashburton)
Employment: Permanent, full-time
Guaranteed minimum hours: 30 hours per week
Maximum hours: 40 hours per week
Pay rate: $24.00–$28.00 per hour
Accommodation: On-farm one-bedroom accommodation is available, with a heat pump and separate living and kitchen areas.
