We are seeking a Dairy Farm Assistant to join our stable team of three full-timers.
Family owner-operators of a 233 ha dairy farm in Balfour. 30 minutes from Gore, 10 minutes from Lumsden.
We milk 540 cows through a 50-bale rotary fitted with arcs, in-bail teat spray, auto wash, in-shed feeding, cow manager and Waikato auto-drafting First-calving heifers are milked once a day year-round, reducing afternoon milking to 400 cows. Our cows are wintered in a barn, and all young stock are wintered on our run off.

Milking
Setting up break fences
Weed spraying
Feeding out silage
Calving assistance
Shifting pods
Feeding out/topping
Shifting crops
Animal health
General farm duties as required

About You:
Must be a New Zealand resident or citizen (not accredited for visas)
Reliable, honest, hard working, punctual and able to work well in a team
Previous dairy experience preferred but not essential for the right applicant
