Milking 500 cows through a 30 a/s herringbone shed with automatic cup removers and teat sprayer. We have in-shed feeding and also fed on a feed pad nine months of the year, so must capable of operating a tractor. There is an automatic drafting system, and the cows are fitted with Allflex collars.
Able to understand and take responsibility for daily tasks such as running of the dairy, effluent management and feeding. Complete tasks with minimal supervision and be able to train other staff. Look for opportunities to work more effectively and efficiently to improve the business.
The farm is located in Korakonui district, 10 mins to Te Awamutu and Otorohanga, with a flat to rolling contour.
