We are looking for a Farm assistant/2IC to work with owner on a dairy farm 10 minutes east of Hamilton. The farm is milking 360 mature cows through a 36 aside herringbone shed. We also own two small neighbouring farms and farm all three as a single operation. The other two farms have herd managers working on them and the heifers and younger cows are run on these farms. Outside of milkings, farm work is shared among the staff leading to a great team working environment but with clear lines of responsibility. We offer a supportive environment with plenty of opportunities to learn. The applicant should have a minimum of 2 years experience and be keen to progress in the dairy industry. The applicant will need to have a restricted or full drivers license. Only those eligible to work in New Zealand need apply. We are NOT registered to be able to help with work visas.  We are currently on the lookout for an assistant for the coming season.  A possible 2ic role depending on experience.  Rolling to hilly farm calving 380 spring cows.  We are looking for someone who is honest and reliable. Who can drive a tractor and 2 and 4 wheeler bikes. Has good understanding of animal husbandry and welfare. Must show common sense and a willingness to learn, with good communication.
