Due to unforseen circumstances, we require a farm assistant to join us o our farm in Okoroire to assist the milking of 400 cows through a 38 bail rotary. We are 50/50 Sharemilkers on a family farm.
You will need to be able to take instructions from our 2IC. We are looking for someone who has a real interest in farming and someone who can get to the shed on time. You would need to be confident on a 2 wheel motorbike and some tractor experience would be an advantage. You would have to have good stockmanship, a calm nature, honest and reliable.
Your duties are, but not limited to: milking cows, feeding cows, animal health, effluent. You need to understand health, safety and wellbeing.
You must have a minimum of 6 months dairy farming experience or a L2 or higher qualification in Agriculture.
Roster 11/3
Salary $70,000 to $75,000
Contour flat with some steeper sidlings
You must have a full drivers license
You must be drug free and undergo rgular random drugs testing
You must have a clear criminal record.
No dogs on farm
