A rare and special opportunity has opened up on ou r beautiful 400Ha family owned and ran dairy farm that is located just 15 mins to Fairlie and 12 mins to Pleasant Point.  There are great schools, shops, cafes and sports clubs etc in the area and we are only 45 mins from the hustle and bustle of Timaru.  We think we are ideally situated to enjoy everything the South Island has to offer.  We are a tad remote though, so you must enjoy the quiet life!   We milk our beautiful 1000 cows through a 40 aside Herringbone shed, it is not automated, but we have brand new irrigation pivots and are introducing Halter next year. 600 of our bonnie cows are milked twice a day and the remaining 400 lassies once a day. Our most important value is we strongly believe in a healthy work/life balance, so our staff only ever work a max of 45 hours a week, even over calving - but we do try to keep it closer to 40 hours a week.
