We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic new team member to fill our Herd manager role here in Roto-O-Rangi. We have been Contract milking our Family owned and operated Dairy farm for the last 6 years with the goal to continue improving animal health and productivity each season. Our current herd manager began with us three seasons ago as a farm assistant and has made the decision to move on to new challenges with a sole charge roll. This roll will require pasture management and herd health skills to be applied on a daily basis along with good communication skills when working alongside us as contract milkers. The applicant will be required to communicate and guide a 2ic with daily tasks and work well as a team. We are seeking an experienced 2ic or Herd Manager looking to progress in the industry, to join us for the 2025/2026 season. We are located 15 mins away from Ashburton, milking 1500 cows at peak.
