Dairy Goat Farm Herd Manager

Job Description

This would suit someone who has some experience and is looking to progress and take on more responsibility.

The job requires:

  • Milking independently (training provided)
  • High standards in hygiene and maintenance of the milking shed
  • Identification and treatment of animal health issues (training provided)
  • Tractor/Loader driving and feeding out to goats and cows (heifer grazers)
  • Responsibility for setting up and shifting fences for heifer grazers
  • Calm and respectful handling of livestock
  • Working well with others in a team environment
  • Honesty and reliability
