We are a large-scale dairy farm just outside of Mossburn, Northern Southland.  We are looking for 2 calf rearers to join our team for the upcoming season starting 25th of July and finishing end of September / early October (exact dates are negotiable). This job would ideally suit a couple or 2 friends. We have a position available working with the contract milker on a small and straightforward farm on the Taieri. Shed is a 24 aside herringbone with an automatic teatsprayer, an easy one person shed. We are looking for someone who is experienced and competent enough to milk and run the shed wash unsupervised when we take time off. You will also be required to carry out other normal farming duties such feeding out, topping, irrigator, farm maintenance etc.    Our cows are very important to us and to work here you must be able to stay calm and quiet in the shed, treating the animals with respect.
