We milk 420-430 Friesian cows through a new 50 bale rotary shed, located 5 minutes east of Eltham. We require someone for August - October to help out over the busy Spring time period, somone who is passionate about farming and who is keen to learn more about the industry. You will be required to undertake and be involved in general farming duties including milking, dairy hygiene, weed control, animal health, feeding out and general maintenance. You must be honest and reliable, and have excellent time management skills. Our team is made up of 3 full time workers (employer included). Time off will be every second weekend. Farm Assistant required. Position would suit a keen, fit, motivated person to work with farm owner 40 bale rotary with ACR's. Drive in postion handy to Stratford and Eltham, prefer work ready with basic farming skills and experience in place but would consider entry level with a can do attitude, if however you are more experienced then there is opportunity to grow with extra responsibility, flexible position up to herd manager/ 2ic.   We can support on farm learning for the right person, drug free and reliability a must.
