We are seeking a Farm Assistant to join our small team on a dairy farm,12km from Okato. Looking for someone who is reliable, enthusiastic and can work in a team as well as independently.
The farm is 149 hectares rolling to flat, high altitude. The Dairy Shed is a Herringbone, 30 aside with some ACRs. Halter necklaces for pasture and animal health. System 2 mainly grass feed.
The role consists of all aspects of dairy farming including, milking cows, animal health and welfare, feeding out, effluent management, general maintenance, spraying weeds and tractor work.
Experience on a tractor and motorbike is an advantage, and a minimum of 1 years' experience is required. The farm is smoke and drug free. The applicant will be required to supply two current references. All applicants need to be living in NZ.
