Job Description

This is a 2IC role working alongside/deputizing for the progressive and supportive sharemilkers. It is a genuine opportunity that has arisen due to a change in labour structure.

The right applicant will be:

  • drug-free
  • have minimum two years dairy experience
  • passionate about the industry
  • positive mindset towards continuous improvement

The role includes but not limited to:

  • Milking TAD through a 29 AS Herringbone cowshed with Protrack, ACR's, in-shed feeding and teatspray droppers
  • Assisting with grazing management decisions
  • Deputizing sharemilkers by managing staff/relief milkers in their absence
  • General repairs and maintenance
  • Feeding out silage on feedpad
  • Managing a travelling irrigator
  • Following animal health and welfare protocols
  • Identifying and assisting treating of cows when required
  • Maintaining a clean and safe cowshed
  • Following plant hygiene procedures and protocols
  • Completing tasks to a high standard 

The Sharemilkers are invested in personal progression of everyone on farm and you will be supported in areas of upskilling providing the desire is there. 

A competitive salary package with balanced roster will be provided to the successful applicant.
