Dairy Farm Assistant – Hinds, Mid Canterbury
This position could also suit someone looking for drive-in relief milking work. We are happy to discuss flexible arrangements with the right person.
We are a progressive dairy farming operation based in Hinds, just 20 minutes south of Ashburton.
Our farm milks 935 cows through a modern 54-bail rotary shed featuring automatic cup removers and automatic teat spraying systems.
Due to a staff member leaving to take the next step to progress their dairy farming career, we are seeking a reliable and motivated person with a positive, can-do attitude to join our team for the upcoming mating period on farm.
The successful applicant will:
• Be physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all conditions
• Have basic English and good communication skills
• Show a willingness to learn and work as part of a team
• Hold a current driver’s licence
• Have the legal right to work in New Zealand
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
Previous dairy farming experience is preferred but not essential. We welcome applicants of all experience levels, as attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are most important to us.
We would be looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
Accommodation is provided on-farm, located just 5 minutes from the beach and 40 minutes from the ski fields.
