Senior farm assistant/milk harvester required until 31 May 2027. This is a fixed term due to farm converting to solar. Possible employment on our other farm next season. Both farms within 10km of Opunake. Position involves primarily milking. The shed is a 62 aside herringbone with 3 milkers in the shed. Maximum 40 hours per week - hours and roster negotiable. Could include day work if wanted. School bus at gate.

We are seeking an experienced farm worker to work as a Herd Manager on a 490-cow farm,  located in the Hawera area, milking through a 42 Bale Rotary shed. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of dairy farming experience or hold at least a Level 4 qualification in Farming/Agriculture. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking and monitoring milk quality, training junior staff, where applicable stock handling and feeding (feed mgt), fencing, weed control, calving, calf rearing, shed maintenance & preparation, tractor operation for feeding out, baling, mowing and silage monitoring, recording and maintaining animal health and other general farm duties. Calf rearer to feed young calves daily. 7.00am start. Expierence an advantage but not essential. Farm is located 1 km from Stratford. Some relief milking could be available if applicant so wished.

We are search of a relief milker to assist in 54 bale rotary cowshed (no cup removers) This is a drive in position. Up to 3 days a fortnight plus cover for staff leave. Includes weekends. Experience an advantage but not a requirement, however a keen attitude is. Will be required to clean vat, start plant, cup cows and perform plant wash.  You will be working with a full time staff member. Farm is located 15 min south of Hawera and 20 mins north of Waverley
