Strong machinery skills are essential. You’ll need to confidently operate a JCB telehandler and a 32m³ mixer wagon to feed out on our 700 cow feed pad, and use the baler to feed out.
Our farm is immaculate; we milk our 1000 cows through a high tech 60 bail rotary shed and we pride ourselves on having a very well-run operation. Our current team of 4 have been with us for 10 years, this is how we know we are good employers. However, they are all very happy doing what they do, so we really need someone who can see themselves progressing into being a 2IC or even a farm manager in the future.
Reporting directly to the owners, you’ll be responsible for producing top-quality milk, operating machinery carefully and looking after the health and wellbeing of our herd, along with general farm work such as fencing and irrigation.
You must come to us with a good attitude, a willingness to learn, have a strong work ethic and be a great communicator and really want to work your way up the ladder.
