Looking to Hire Herd Manager on a permanent basis. Milking 950 cows through 50 bale rotary. Work responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, milk harvesting, basic pasture management, pest and weed control, animal health on a daily basis. Tractor work is essential. Feed management, feed calculating and feed allocation skills required, and are essential. Applicant must be able to drive large tractor and have knowledge of feeding out. you need to be able to ride a motorbike. Accommodation is for a single person, in a dwelling that is shared. You will need your own vehicle as the farm is 15minutes from the nearest supermarket. All cows wintered on farm with young stock nearby for animal health management.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated 2IC for our 680-cow family dairy farm situated 8km from Dunsandel. We have a strong focus on fully feeding cows and animal health. The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of the dairy farm including milking in our modern 54 bail rotary with ACRs and in shed feeding through to pasture, fertilizer and irrigation management.   Our cows are wintered and calved down under cover in 3 herd homes. The ideal candidate will have a clear focus on individual responsibility and be a motivated team player that likes a laugh and is prepared to accept new challenges.
