We are seeking a Herd Manager to join our team in the Marotiri / Tihoi district 35 minutes from Taupo.  Milking 1100 cows through a 60 bail rotary with in-shed feeding, ACR's and operating CowManager. Duties & Responsibilities include:  running the dairy shed, effluent/irrigation and feed management, pasture management, animal health, mating, plant & machinery maintenance, tractor work, stock work, calf rearing, health & safety and record keeping, farm maintenance, ability to train any junior employees in simple skills. This role will provide additional support to our permanent team by undertaking tasks such as milking, calf rearing, weed management and other general farm tasks.  We run a 6 on/2 off roster and can provide  tidy single bedroom accommodation. We can offer a good hourly rate, a well experienced, supportive team that is willing to help and train someone new to the industry.
