Our family-run Organic Dairy Farm is located 25 minutes NW of Taupo in the Marotiri district. The farm is a 230-hectare dairy unit, milking peak 850 cows, through a 40-aside herringbone shed.
Ideally, you would have a passion towards organic dairy farming and further:
You will have experience in animal health, general day to day farm duties, some knowledge about pasture management, and two-wheel motorbike experience is necessary.
We are looking for an individual who is keen to work, show loyalty and will commit to at least one season.
- Accommodation is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage shared with one other.
- We guarantee 30 hours per week, total of 60 hours a fortnight.
- Our roster is an 11/3 single rotation.
- Hourly rate is between $25-$35.
Jobs include, getting cows early in the morning before milking, milking twice a day, cleaning in and around cowshed, helping feed pigs and calves, and other general farm work.
