We are seeking a Herd Manager to join our team in the Marotiri / Tihoi district 35 minutes from Taupo.
Milking 1100 cows through a 60 bail rotary with in-shed feeding, ACR's and operating CowManager.
Duties & Responsibilities include: running the dairy shed, effluent/irrigation and feed management, pasture management, animal health, mating, plant & machinery maintenance, tractor work, stock work, calf rearing, health & safety and record keeping, farm maintenance, ability to train any junior employees in simple skills.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience, be physically fit, honest, reliable, a team player that takes pride in their work and the farm presentation, and is passionate about the dairy industry. A clear police and drug history is required and you must be willing to submit to random drug testing on farm.
We will provide support with Primary ITO training for the successful candidate.
