We milk 420-430 Friesian cows through a new 50 bale rotary shed, located 5 minutes east of Eltham. We require someone who is passionate about farming and who is keen to learn more about the industry. You will be required to undertake and be involved in general farming duties including milking, dairy hygiene, weed control, animal health, feeding out and general maintenance. You must be honest and reliable, and have excellent time management skills. Our team is made up of 3 full time workers (employer included). Time off will be every second weekend. Farm Assistant position available Due to health reasons our current worker has finished up at short notice. We are looking for someone to come and join us on our dairy farm in Tariki. We milk 310 cows through a 22 aside herringbone shed with cup removers and inshed feeding. We also have halter. The job would involve day to day farm tasks, afternoon milkings only during the week and every second weekend off (11 on 3 off).
