We have a position available for an Agricultural Machinery Operator on a dairy farm in South Taranaki and potentially other farms in the same region
This is a permanent, full-time role on a dairy farming operation running approximately 1100 cows. The successful applicant will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment, supporting pasture and feed management, and assisting with the day-to-day running of the farming operation.
Your range of duties will include:
Operating and maintaining tractors, loaders and other agricultural machinery and farm vehicles safely and efficiently,
operating farm equipment for feeding out, silage preparation, effluent management, cultivation and general farm work,
assisting with pasture management and feed distribution,
setting up, monitoring and maintaining irrigation equipment,
assisting with fencing repairs and the upkeep of farm infrastructure and equipment,
supporting livestock movements and general animal care,
assisting with dairy shed operations and other farm activities as required,
conducting daily pre-start checks and basic servicing on all machinery,
identifying and reporting machinery faults and maintenance requirements,
and following all workplace health and safety procedures and maintaining a safe working environment.
Weekly hours are a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 40 hours.
Wage is $30.00 per hour.
Roster is 6/2

To be considered you must:
1 Have a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in the operation, repair or maintenance of agricultural machinery or heavy equipment,
2 hold a current driver's licence,
3 be physically fit and capable of performing manual work in an outdoor farming environment,
4 provide a current, complete and accurate CV stating nz citizenship/residency or visa status
