We are looking for a honest and reliable person to join our team of 3. We are milking 660 cows on a 40 aside herringbone shed. Roster will be single rotation, 6 on 2 off. The farm is located in Dunsandel area, 15 minutes to Rolleston. Great location as it is on the thriving and fastest growing district of New Zealand, Selwyn District. You must be willing to be trained in all aspects of dairy farming. You must pass criminal and drug checks and be physically fit to be considered for the role. We are looking for a farm assistant to join our team, with at least 1 years of experience on dairy farm. Apart from the knowledge build up previously if you show you are passionate about the industry, have the right attitude and willingness to keep learning and work hard then you will be considered for the role. We contract milk 1350 cows in Bankside with Halter collar system. We milk through two sheds of 44 aside herringbone. In this moment one of the sheds has Protrack and in shed feed system. The successful applicant will be part of a six person team with support from the Contract Milkers. Your duties would eventually include all aspects of dairy farming including the following (but not limited to): Maintain fencing and water supply in a good working condition.
