We are seeking an honest and hard-working farm assistant to join our team. You will be part of
4 staff team and report to the farm manager.
Milk 800 cows. 40-bail rotary, ACR, and auto teat spray. Fully irrigated.
Duties are not limited to:
Milking - Assist in an efficient and hygienic milking routine. Follow the procedure to produce
high-quality milk.
Animals - Assist in safely handling animals and report any health and welfare issues as per farmpolicy. Assist with moving and handling animals safely and observe and report on the well-
being of all classes of stock.
Feed - Set break fences. Assist with pasture and crop weed control.
Environment - Understand how dairy effluent systems operate and how effluent affects the on-
farm environment and be aware of regional council requirements and their responsibilities to
comply with these.
People - Work well with others, building a strong team culture. Develop an understanding of
what makes a good farm team, and how their actions affect the wider team.
Machine, vehicles, and technology - Safely use and maintain vehicles on the farm as directed
by on-farm policy. Learn about the farm irrigation system, and assist with identifying irrigation
problems and making repairs, as directed.
Health, safety, and wellbeing - Build a health, safety, and wellbeing culture and adhere to the
farm H, S policy. Identify hazards, understand safety procedures, and demonstrate safe
on-farm work practices.
Must have a Driving Licence and know how to ride a two-wheeler bike. You will also drive on
The road as our one runoff block is close to the farm, with a 2-minute drive.
