Due to a change in circumstances we are looking for 2x team members from the beginning of September to join our team full time. We milk 750 cows through a modern 54 bail rotary that is centrally located. Our roster is 6 days on 1 day off over calving with the remaining season 6 days on 2 days off. Accommodation available is: 1x large 4 bedroom house with a heatpump & gas hot water 1x small 2 bedroom cottage with a heatpump We are not accredited employers so you must have the legal right to work in NZ. Top 400 cows twice a day, the rest once a day morning only, everything once a day March to end of May. We have a system that allows for not getting cows in, they walk themselves to milking while the coffees being drunk. Calves are grazed off farm from January till they return in May the following year as in calf. All ground work is done in house so plenty of tractor work available. We are looking for a permanent staff member to jump aboard our team once our Scottsman's visa has run out in November. Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for someone to join us on our Dairy Farm near Morrinsville. We are milking 300 crossbred cows on 107ha 15 minutes North of Morrinsville. We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. We do about 110,000kgMS per year and typically go OAD in January each year. We aim for best practice in every area especially cow health, incalf rates, SCC and youngstock rearing.
