A 60 Bail rotary shed with protrack automation and drafting system, Allflex collars and a feed pad. All cows/R2 are wintered in an adjacent block on beet, Kale and Grass with adlib straw. We rear 230 replacement heifers. We are looking for someone with some farming experience and who wishes to grow in the industry. you will be well supported in the role. the position requires a can-do attitude, good animal health practice, able to communicate well, be confident on all farm machinery. Follow all health and safety policy and procedures. You must be a team-player and be able to get along with all nationalities. The farm milks 800 cows through a rotary shed, we run a 5 on 2 off roster. 3 other full timers on farm plus seasonal calf rearer.  We are looking for someone that is motivated, reliable, good communication and can be a good role model to the team.   Previous farm management experience a must.  The role will include making pasture management decisions, management of the cowshed, managing the other staffs day to day, delegating jobs etc working with farm supervisor. Experienced person required to help run 880 cow family owned Dairyfarm at Kaikoura. This could suit someone who has been out of the industry for a while and would like to get back in with help from an experienced and active farm owner. The cows are milked through a 60 bail rotary with ACR's and Protrack. The farm is irrigated with Ocmis Irrigators and K line. The cows are wintered on the farms own run-off where R 2yr olds are run for most of the year. This is a management role, the extent of which will depend on the employees experience and skills/ ability.
