If you’re a switched-on Farm Manager who enjoys getting the best from cows, pasture and feed, this is an opportunity to step into a supportive farming business, chase the small gains and really put your own mark on it.

This 580–600 cow dairy operation has ambitious production goals and is looking for a capable Farm Manager who brings strong farming systems, attention to detail and confident day-to-day management. The 275 ha farm, with 250 ha effective, operates through a 40 ASHB shed and runs a System 5 operation with Halter, covered feedpad and mixer wagon.

You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the farm, leading the team and putting good, practical farming systems and processes in place. This is a high-production operation where attention to detail, strong pasture and feed utilisation, and getting the most from the cows really matters.

This role will suit a strong operator with an eye for detail and a drive for performance. You’ll understand how to balance pasture and supplementary feed, keep the operation running efficiently and continually look for those small gains that add up to better results.

Location / Accommodation

Located in the rolling hill country of Waikite Valley, just 20 minutes south of Rotorua. A comfortable four-bedroom home with a single garage is included with the role.
