Fully Feeding, milking twice a day for 2/3 of the season and maintaining outstanding health and wellbeing all year on our 800 dairy cows. Taking care of our soil, protecting it from any damage and nutrient loss. Working on your own and with other staff, following instructions, and contributing to improving a positive workplace.  Keeping our pastures weed free, grubbing and spraying weeds. Improving the farm presentation, cleaning dairy shed, mowing or spraying areas that don't get grazed, fencing ect. Helping with livestock feeding and any other chores related to the care of our animals.

We are seeking a Dairy Farm Assistant to work on a 500-cow farm in the Whataroa area, milking through a 25 AS Herringbone shed with halters. Experience is preferred but not required for this role.  You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking twice a day shifting cows and feeding  fencing, weed control calving, calf rearing shed cleaning and setup identifying and alerting managers to sick cows Setting fences and other general farm duties.
