Seeking a experienced, honest and reliable Relief Milker, that has excellent stock skills and management.   You must pass criminal and drug checks and be physically fit to be considered for the role. You must also have a full clean driving license and willing to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Relief Milker you are expected to work alongside the Farm Manager and other staff in: - milk harvesting - maintaining the cleanliness of the cow shed - operating and maintenance of effluent system - monitoring pasture, crop, and supplement management - monitoring stock feed - diagnosing animal ailments and conducting treatments - assisting in the erection and maintenance of fence. Looking for an enthusiastic, team minded person to work on our family farm near Oxford. Milking 740 through 60 bale rotary.  Lead with Pride accredited so expecting candidate to be as engaged as us with this. Strictly drug and smoke free. Four permanent staff plus relief milkers, all pitching in to do the job. Must be passionate about farming and learning to be their best.  Must have previous dairy farm experience as farm assistant. NZ resident/citizens only please. The candidate should enjoy day to day tasks such as milking and be observant and able to spot the abnormal (e.g. lameness/mastitis). Our irrigation system consists of lateral irrigators, centre pivot, a small amount of K-line and fixed-grid irrigation, providing reliable pasture production throughout the season. We operate a pasture-based farming system, with a strong focus on growing and utilising quality pasture efficiently. The farm is run with less than 300 kg of imported feed per cow, so good pasture management, stockmanship and attention to detail are important parts of the system.
