Fulltime farm assistant required to cover the Rostered days off of our 3 permanent staff for the busy spring period. You will work 10 days a fortnight  as part of the team doing all jobs through the busy spring calving and mating period. We are looking for an employee to assist on our dairy farm near Cambridge for 3 months while one of the farm owners has surgery.  The farm is 108 hectares, milking approximately 315 cows at peak.  We milk twice a day through a 23 aside herringbone cowshed with cup removers, Protrack and Allflex Collars.  We require someone who is reliable and honest  and who is able to assist the farm owner/senior employee from late August to end of November (3 months). We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management.
