About the Role
This is a hands-on dairy farming position suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in maintaining high standards of animal care and farm operations.
Your duties will include:
- Assisting with the day-to-day running of the dairy farm
- Milking approximately 600 cows
- General stock handling and animal care
- Tractor driving and other farm machinery operations
- Supporting pasture and farm maintenance
- General farm duties as required
- Working safely and maintaining a high standard of farm presentation
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 1 year of dairy farming experience OR a minimum Level 2 Dairy Farming qualification
- The ability and confidence to drive a tractor
- A good work ethic and reliable attitude
- A willingness to work as part of a team
- Good animal-handling skills and a genuine interest in dairy farming
- A commitment to working safely and following farm procedures
- A clear criminal record
- Be drug-free and willing to undergo pre-employment and ongoing drug testing
Farm & Accommodation Requirements
As this is a shared accommodation and farm environment, the following conditions apply:
- No pets are permitted on the farm
- No dogs
- No smoking environment
- Respect for shared accommodation and other team members is essential
What We Offer
- $70,000 salary
- Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week
