Mahoe Dairies are on the look out for two Dairy Farm Assistants We require TWO honest, reliable Dairy Farm Assistant to join our team on our Family operated farms in Mossburn, Southland. Previous dairy farming experience preferred, but not essential. Duties include, but are not limited to: - Milking: Assists in efficient and hygienic milking routine. - Animals: Assists in the safe handling of animals, reports any health and welfare issues as per farm policy. - Feed: Controls weeds, Sets break fences and feeds out as directed. - Environment: Assists with nutrient, effluent and water management as directed by farm policy. - People: Works well with others, building a strong team culture. - Machine, Vehicles and Technology, Safely uses and maintains vehicles on farm as directed by our on farm policy. - Health, Safety and wellbeing: Involved in building a health, safety and wellbeing culture. Hi we are looking for someone to start asap as we have a staff member leaving due to health reasons,16th october Start date or by negotiation. We are on the lookout for a dairy farm assistant to work along side myself (contract milker) also my 2ic and our full time milker (who have all been on the farm coming up 11 years). Assisting with the day to day tasks of running the farm eg: getting cows in, milking, spraying, fences,mowing etc . This position would suit someone with some experience and can also ride a 2 wheeler motorbike, tractor expierience is not a must. Must be a nz resident or on a valid work visa as im not an accredited employer and have a current drivers license. Great area, hunting and fishing on farm. School bus at gate.
