Mahoe Dairies are on the look out for two Dairy Farm Assistants
We require TWO honest, reliable Dairy Farm Assistant to join our team on our Family operated farms in Mossburn, Southland.
Previous dairy farming experience preferred, but not essential. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Milking: Assists in efficient and hygienic milking routine.
- Animals: Assists in the safe handling of animals, reports any health and welfare issues as per farm policy.
- Feed: Controls weeds, Sets break fences and feeds out as directed.
- Environment: Assists with nutrient, effluent and water management as directed by farm policy.
- People: Works well with others, building a strong team culture.
- Machine, Vehicles and Technology, Safely uses and maintains vehicles on farm as directed by our on farm policy.
- Health, Safety and wellbeing: Involved in building a health, safety and wellbeing culture. Models farm health, safety and wellbeing policy.
Minimum hours of work are 30 hours per week. Pay rate is $26.00 - $28.00 per hour.
Applicants must have a criminal free record. We have a strict health and safety policy, so candidates may be subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.

Mahoe Dairies Ltd is a Family Owned and Operated Business. Formerly MD & DW Heenan (Denis and his father Mike) Now Denis, Amy Heenan and their Four Sons farming 1700ha. 1/3 Dairy 3 x Farms of 200 - 215ha each, 600 Cows per Farm (1800 Total) Plus a Large Scale Run off and Grain Operation and the balance is support land growing youngstock and barley to provide a fully self contained operation.
