We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable calf rearer to join our team for the upcoming calving season on our 650-cow dairy farm, located in Dacre (just 20 minutes from Invercargill). This is a sole calf rearer role, with regular support from the herd owner to help ensure workloads are manageable. Weekend work is covered by the herd owner or can be negotiated. We are looking for an experienced person who can work well as part of a team and by themselves. This is a sole charge and fixed term position. Start date will be 1st of August to approximately 1st of October earlier start possible to negotiate Key attributes we are looking for is someone with excellent attention to detail - can pick up sick calves quickly, makes sure animal welfare is priority, has great calfshed/gear hygiene and is physically fit.
