With our amazing 2IC heading back overseas in October we are now seeking a motivated and reliable person or couple to help us milk 500 quiet crossbred cows through an older but efficient 32 bale rotary shed. This is a fixed term role for the remainder of the season but we are open to also transitioning to a permanent role for the coming season and beyond. Main duties would include getting cows in, milking, shed and effluent management, water management and general farm tidying and maintenance. There is not much tractor work so if this is not a strength that's no issue. We value reliability and people who have a calm demeanor around livestock and co-workers.  We are open to a range of scenarios and ideally would like a full time worker and part time milker. About the role We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable 2IC or Herd Manager to join our small dairy farming team. This is a hands-on and wide-ranging role working closely with the contract milking couple across all aspects of the family-owned farming operation. Part time role available for an experienced dairy farmer. Must have experience in a rotary shed & be able to work sole charge & be reliable. The Farm: 50 bale rotary shed, ACRs, in shed feeding, auto teat spray, drafting gate & Halter.
