Farm Worker – Drive-In Position | Part-time

Job Description

Our clients are looking for a motivated, reliable person to join their Waikato farming operation in a flexible drive-in role. Conveniently located between Morrinsville and Hamilton, this position offers 30–40 hours per week across four days, with some flexibility around how those hours are worked. Please note that this position is being readvertised due to a change in circumstances with the previously successful applicant.

The operation includes a 100-hectare dairy farm milking 320 crossbred cows through a 26-bale rotary with in-shed feeder, supported by a 66-hectare run-off used for grazing, dairy beef, maize, and grass silage production. The farm is well set up with a covered feed pad, reticulated bore water system, and strong infrastructure to support efficient day-to-day operations.

Working across both the dairy platform and run-off, you will assist with a range of farm duties, including:

  • Milking and shed routines
  • Calf rearing and young stock care
  • Feeding out and feed management support
  • Moving stock across the dairy farm and run-off
  • Fencing and general farm maintenance
  • General day-to-day farm tasks as required

You will work alongside a supportive team and be involved in a variety of day-to-day farm activities across both the dairy platform and run-off. Whether you already have farming experience or are keen to build your skills in the industry, we are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to get stuck in and do the job well.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting a practical, varied farming role close to town, with the benefit of a four-day working week and an element of flexibility.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
